Today’s excursion was to get to Pikes Peak. Earlier in the week Flyboy Alf got us the appointment to drive up. We intended to leave later and did.
Apparently there is an oil shortage so we headed to Napa first.
From there we headed to our appointment and stopped by Mad Hatters Salon for BBQ lunch. This was close to the Pikes Peak entrance.
Up we went, video will be coming, and made it to the top it was a bit chilly but it was fine once we got over wanting to faint from the Altitude.
After we headed down and started to point ourselves back to Breckenridge. Of course we road into weather and there was a pretty good squall we were in. all was fine until I couldn’t see due to fogging.
I eventually lifted my shield and tried to hide behind my windshield. Many “owes” were uttered over the comms. The worst was when a pickup hit a puddle and I got splashed in the face.
The rain mostly let up and we made it home. We decided again to a house meal and a fee of us headed to the market. ALF cooked the meal and shooed away help.
We had an excellent meal and the crew stayed up late. Its 10:35 and people are still stirring, well maybe yawning and going to bed.
No one is sure about tomorrow but there has been talk of off bike shenanigans brought to the table.

its been a Long time since i went to Pikes, but all we had to fo was wait in line vs make an appointment. Like full parking garages, they let up what came down.
