Pre-Launch

Preparations are ongoing and this year’s group adventure is underway for three already. Two are navigating west while the third is heading east towards our rendezvous.

I’m leaving last as it will take me the least time to arrive. I say that not because I’m the fastest rider, but because I’m flying in and renting a bike via riders-share.com.

After sorting out the pickup, my goal is to head a little northwest from Denver and take a trip through Rocky Mountain National Park. Clothes have been gathered, a new helmet shield obtained and I’m bringing my heated jacket just in case. Flying with motorcycle gear raises a few eyebrows in the airport, but I’m at least gathered today with packing going on tomorrow.
