Day 9 (6/23/34) continued (Steve)
Boy what a day. After I posted the picture of my coffee I got a Ring notification and decided to look. Well it was the SJPD. Apparently someone had tried to steal my neighbors motorcycle while on a stolen motorcycle. They were looking for camera footage Being I was at Coldfoot Camp and my systemContinue reading “Day 9 (6/23/34) continued (Steve)”
Day 9 (6/23/24) Morning Decisions (Steve)
I have been struggling with sleep for a bit now and running on empty at the end of the day. Dawson City was really bad. The boys gave me a single room at the house in Fairbanks and I felt fairly well in the morning. We headed out to the Dalton and had a prettyContinue reading “Day 9 (6/23/24) Morning Decisions (Steve)”
Day 8 (6/22/24) Fairbanks to Wiseman (Steve)
Just a quick update as we are a bit tired and some are fixing issues. We made it to Wiseman at the Boreal Lodge. I made sure to thank Heidi personally for helping me out 14 years ago. I’m sure she doesn’t remember it, but it made a big impact on me. Especially when IContinue reading “Day 8 (6/22/24) Fairbanks to Wiseman (Steve)”
Fairbanks to Wiseman
Today’s ride was just 250 miles, but much of it was the Dalton Highway, otherwise know as the Haul Road. Wiseman is basically the halfway point on the Dalton and doesn’t have much to offer in the way of services – just a couple of cabin rentals. We purposely got off to a later startContinue reading “Fairbanks to Wiseman”
A series of unfortunate events
I’m not even sure where to start… what a day! BLUF- we got to our destination safe and sound. Yesterday I discovered a headlight bulb out so we started with a trip back a few miles into Fairbanks for fuel and auto parts. At some point we decided to plan to cook tonight so weContinue reading “A series of unfortunate events”
Day 7 (6/21/24) Dawson City to Fairbanks (Steve)
I was really worn down and exhausted last night. While eating dinner I was getting the spins and I just needed to sleep as the night before I didn’t get much sleep and what I got was poor at best. Woke up this morning and I had slept better but not well. The power wentContinue reading “Day 7 (6/21/24) Dawson City to Fairbanks (Steve)”
Top o the morning to ya
Oh, and top of the world Highway for us. That’s right today we rode the top of the world highway that runs from The Yukon river ferry at Dawson city to the custom station at the Alaska State line/national border. Let me tell you about my day … It started with the power going outContinue reading “Top o the morning to ya”

Watson Lake to Dawson, YT (Dan)
This is just a quick update – I mentioned in the last post it was going to be a long day at 600+ miles. We made the trip in 12.5 hours, and I felt great the whole way. Steve already mentioned that we’re starting to see wildlife, but we’re also starting to see wildfires. IContinue reading “Watson Lake to Dawson, YT (Dan)”
