Days running together…

We started the day on the old Santa Fe trail. Made quick work of it and crossed into Colorado and MST by 0730. A little after 0900 we caught our first glimpse of the mountains and we were drawn like moths to the flame. The straight roads soon twisted up and the riding excelled. Wolf Creek pass was the highlight. Road construction in Pagosa Springs was definitely the last section to make the highlight reel.

We caught up to Steve in Durango and made the last 45 minutes as a trio.

After check in, we had dinner with Surly’s Uncle John at s local steakhouse. It was quite delicious. Thanks for picking up the tab John. It was great to see you again!

Somewhere along the way, it was pointed out that I had a headlight bulb out. I got it replaced after too much effort. Alls well that ends well.,.

Route planning for tomorrow’s complete. Time to wind down. We hit our first bit of off roading tomorrow… woohoo!
