As I mentioned yesterday these are now travel days so the stops and pics are fewer. Today was a great day for animal encounters. We saw Brown bears, black bears, Moose (alive and dead), goats, rabbits and probably others. I may have video of some.
We hit the road at 6 am. yes, I made a 6 am kickstands up.
We basically road until we needed gas then stopped. There were some areas with heavy smoke, but I put on an N95 to help that.
Lunch and gas landed at the Lodge at Muncho lake. I stopped here previously and it made sense today. Muncho is a crazy turquoise blue color and really cool to look at.
We then continued on to Ft Nelson. Our hotel which got a scowl from the toothless construction worker turned out to be fine. The water pressure is good snd the AC works.
Dinner was procured at various places and eaten in our rooms. I was told by a wise Papa Smurf to always check to see if the stove works before buying frozen pizza. I personally opted for McDonald’s Chicken nuggets and a mixed fruit bowl from the grocery store.
After dinner a door to door snake oil salesman came knocking. Selling an elixir to cut a day of travel off the east coaster’s itinerary. The sales pitch was strong and the boys bought the tincture. So we are splitting a day early.
I made reservations a bit further than planned, but that should help put further south to start Mondays hear wave run.
I also noticed my rear mud guard is gone. We narrowed it through pictures to somewhere after the Arctic circle.
